Family-run on Merrit Parkway since 1982

Wise Owl Academy opened in 1982, founded by Mrs. Dorothy Lehto in the building we are still in on Merrit Parkway. In 2014 Mrs. Aparna Biwalkar bought the school and has run it since.

Both of those dates are true and we say both, because they mean different things. 1982 is how long children in Nashua have been coming through this door. 2014 is how long the current family has been answering the phone.

What has not changed is the scale. We are one center, in one 9,000 square foot building, on one street. There is no regional manager and no head office to escalate to. The people who own the school are the people who will meet you at the door, and if something is wrong you will be talking to them and not to a call center.

We take children from 2 months to 13 years, which means families stay. It is common here for the school-age child doing homework in the after-school room to have started in the infant room. That continuity is the whole argument for a small center, and it is the reason we have never wanted to be a bigger one.
